Tomorrow, my youngest heads to Kindergarten and I am left wondering who I am when I don’t have a child next to me.
Not a jungle gym.
Not a food source.
Not an entertainment center
So, who am I? What do I do with myself?
And why am I asking myself this, considering I’m PTO president and I actually have a job. I’m still working. Although, after my last shift {which may, or may not have included lice} I’m reconsidering that part.
I sure do love a paycheck though.
The truth is I’m starting back on my weight loss journey. I’m focusing on eating real foods and going back to working out next month. That is certainly going to be a good focus.
I was thinking of calling this Hilary 2.0
Time to start booking the best hotels NOW for summer trips!
📅 My next trip is to the Anaheim Majestic, it has a FREE SHUTTLE! 🚍
❤️Other Hotels I love:❤️
– Best Western Park Place — this is the closest hotel to Disneyland (but it books up FAST)
– Cambria Hotel (GREAT one for larger parties, and I love their price)
– Courtyard Theme Park Entrance (this one has a WATER PARK and is SO CLOSE – great for the summer!)
– Residence Inn at Anaheim Resort (still close and really nice)
– The Viv (not walkable, but I LOVE this hotel and the price is nice)
– Tropicana Inn (so close, adequate — all about how close it is)
But then, I realize my life has had a lot of “upgrades”
1.0 being born.
2.0 going to college
3.0 Having my first baby.
4.0 Moving to CA
and Maybe this is 5.0 — not sure, it may just be 4.5.675 — you know? I’m not really sure what kind of a change this is going to be for me.
So, my question for you — did you structure your day somehow? What changed when your kids went back to school?
The reality is, probably, that things aren’t going to be all that different than when she was home, and I REALLY need to be prepared for when they get home.
{sigh} after school with 3 isn’t something I’m looking forward to. Back to school, peeps. Everyone but me. 🙂

Wow- you do start early in AZ! We’ve got a month left here in VA. Then I’ll be sending #3 to kindergarten too, but I still have #4 at home and #5 coming in October, so I won’t be wondering who I am for another 6 years… (wish he were going to be born before the end of Sept- I’ve never been even a day early, so 3 weeks is not likely- so that he’d go to school in 5 years, but maybe by then I’ll be glad for 1 more year at home before reinventing myself.)

Yup, but it’s SO hot here the kids are ready for this. You can read this article in 6 years. 😀
