When a day starts-out like crap

Do you have those days where evreything's fine and then it just spirals downward like an F-18 er? Today's one of those.
Conner got up a tad later then he ususally does (it was still 7 am, but still -- that's a little late for him), and he still had to vacuum because I didn't have him do it yesterday (hand slap for me) and then I remembered the bake sale, and Conner couldn't find his jacket, and that's when the crap REALLY hit the fan. I think we're all well-aware of how I to lose things.
I just want to know what you guys do when your kids lose things.
It was raining, it was his rain jacket that he'd lost and we couldn't find it anywhere. I did some lamaze breathing and just told him he needs to find it because we're not buying him another one until next year. He does have another coat that can withstand rain if absolutely necessary.
But, since then the day's just towards the ground. I am hoping that nap time will help to pull-up the nose, metaphorically speaking.

  1. I am not the person to ask about this. If you've read my blog at all, you KNOW that I FREAK out like it's the end of the world if anything is lost. And by anything I mean something even as dumb as a fork. :)

And get on google talk if you're on right now.
