Buckle Up

People, these are very exciting times at the Erickson household. Besides the fact I just inhaled hydrocloric acid while cleaning my sink, Spencer can BUCKLE HIS OWN CARSEAT.
That’s right, we can get dressed on our own, we can get our own shoes on and NOW we can all get in the car on our own.

It’s hard to see us all growing up, changing, coming into our own selves, it’s fun too, I must admit. I enjoy the freedom this life gives me. The boys are playing really well together lately, and while we have an injury about every 1/2 hour of playing it’s still fun to watch them be pals.

It’s also hard to think if we have another one how it would fit into the mix, esp. not having a sibling close in age.

{sigh}
I wish I could turn my mind off someimtes, and enjoy the fact that I AM BUCKLE-FREE.
Feel the joy!

    Yes, joy in the fact that you are buckle free!

    Chloe could finally do it, until now we’ve changed her to a booster and she can’t anymore. I had buckle free Chloe days for about 2 months. Sigh.

    That’s a big step! My middle girl can buckle her top half and we’re working on the bottom. Miss 2 year old will take a while though.
    p.s. love the new Christmas banner and colors. One of these days I’ll figure out how to spiff my blog up.

    Does that mean he can also unbuckle his carseat?!! Ok, but seriously – that is HUGE!! I’m so happy for you and your newfound freedom. It may seem like a small feat to someone without a child, but the carseat process is no simple daily task. Props to you, mom, for raising independent kiddos.

    Just had to say that I am loving your Christmas photos on your banner. So adorable. Plus, I am in love with your blog book (I posted a comment on that post too). :-)
