Ok, you know I’ve been searching high and low for a good bread recipe.
Wait no more, I found it.
You might remember when I suggested everyone make their own tortillas and send you to the deals to meals blog.  Well, like a great blogger, she has some of her favorite recipes in her sidebar.  One just happens to be homemade 100% whole wheat bread.  Found here.
She’s right, it’s amazing.
It’s SUPER soft (I actually, would like to find a recipe that is more desnse and tastes like Great Harvest, but until then I think this is the one I’ll be using), and it stays great!
FYI, you can find gluten at the regular grocery store with the bobs red mill stuff, usually.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much!  For my kitchenaid 6 qt I do have to 1/3 it becuase the kitchenaid can only take 8 cups of whole wheat flour (I actually use 1 cup of all purpose so I don’t burn the mixer out).

I wish I could’ve gotten a bosch, but space is a premium here.  A BIG. FAT. PREMIUM. :)

We’ve made the tortillas twice already. I think I could eat them all day.

I’ll have to try the bread. Do you think it will work in a bread machine?

Have you ever tried the whole wheat bread recipe on Everyday food storage? I tried it this week and my family loved it. Too bad it only made two loaves. We go through bread way to fast. I would have to make bread everyday. It looks like this recipe makes more;I’ll have to give it a try.
