Resolution Review

This year our whole family has set resolutions, mine lay down there on my sidebar, reminding me of things that I would like to work on.  On Sunday mornings we each review our resolutions, sharing what we've done best and worst at.  I think the worst thing you can do is set resolutions and then lay them aside for the rest of the year, only to pick the same ones again next year.

SO, I'd like to review mine monthly here on the blog and maybe beg for help.  At least be accountable. :)

Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting1.  Read 1 book monthly.  I have been reading Naturally Thin, and I actually really like it.  Stay tuned for a review on the Losing blog.  I haven't finished it, but I'm fairly close.  I am, however, in a routine of actually reading some pages every night.  So, who has a suggestion for my next book?  Maybe Harold and his purple crayon....

2.  Go to the temple 6 times.  I had a sitter and everything, and then the temple was closed.  Booo, hiss.... we do have plans to go as a family this month and I hope those aren't foiled, but I'm not holding my breath.  All I can do is try, right?

3.  Do something crafty weekly.  Now, I was all set to make adorable skirts, or pillows, or scrapbook pages... but so far, that hasn't happened (I did, however, gather all of P's weight and height measurements and put them on her growth chart on Sauturday, go me).  I did however, make that awesome tutorial Thursday video on bread.  I'm set to do another one THIS Thursday that should be equally as fun. :)  I mean crafty as something that produces something I think is fun or cool and has a process which I enjoy doing.  It's not happening weekly, yet.  But I hope to.

4.  No yelling.  WHAT?  WHO MADE THIS GOAL?  THIS IS THE DUMBEST GOAL I HAVE EVER HEARD.  I am working on it.  I do feel badly when I do yell now.  Is that good enough? :)

5.  Write a compliment note daily.  This has morphed into either a compliment or thank you note daily.  THIS has been my most successful resolution thus far.  I think my kids appreciate me noticing their hard work and I'm sure when I've done things for people outside our family they've appreciated it as well.  It's given me an attitude adjustment as well as I search for great things to make note of. :)

Anyway, they're going alright.  I can only do better though, right?  Ok, I could do worse, you're right.  Happy Februrary everyone, I hope to LOVE myself when it's over! :)
