New Year: New Me

I mean, my liver recycles every few months, right?

Ok, so I doubt I'll be ALL new.  In fact, I like a lot of a lot of me.  Just a few things I'd like to change....

1.  More fun.  More of a yes mom.  More of a crazy mom.  I want more sponteniety with my kids.  At least once a month.

2.  Six visits to the temple.  At least one with girlfriends.  Somehow I find that extra cathartic.  Is that weird? 

3.  Grow some muscles.  I took a little break from working out around Christmas.  I want to jump into it with gusto.  Well, gusto tempered with the will to not be sore.  I want to be a strong, happy woman.

4.  Learn when to say no.  I'm a big fan of saying yes, and I think it's good to get a little in over your head but I need to know that sometimes I drown myself and I need to take a step back and figure out how to take some steps back.  Thoughts on that one?

*I just wanted to say thanks to book club for making it so I didn't have to include reading in my goals this year.  HORRAY for book club!

  1. As you know, I am a big fan of saying yes myself, and I have been really working on it this year.

    The biggest help for me is to remember that when I say yes to something, I am inevitably saying no to something else. So I'm trying to think of what I have to say no to before I say yes. It has helped SO MUCH.
