A. Not a huge fan of annonymous commenters… always seems to take the wind out of their sails that they are unwilling to put their name with their thoughts, but as with every comment it does make me think…
B. SCU liberation day is to commemorate that our life has a plan, and the plan was to come here. And while you might feel like your heart is being ripped out as your husband is being laid off of a job that he has spent COUNTLESS unpaid hours to build a program, you might realize there is a plan somewhere else.
It may need a better name. We still love that district, the teachers and co-workers Drew had, but life is good no matter where you live. And that is the truth.
But, in your intentions to show me how bitter I am, perhaps you are right… something to work on. I loved my life in CA, and I love my life here. California and the experience leaving it will always be a part of me. A huge part of me.
A lot about the day is just to marvel together how things worked out for us. It’s certainly not a bitter celebration at our house, but feeling happy about how blessed we were. How all the bricks fell into place.
Our PLAN was to have homemade doughnuts, and instead we all got strep. Feel the joy of that.
