THANK YOU! I really appreciate your honest comments. As a mom of a teen and pre teen I am looking for the must see spots and the ones to skip if time is limited. 🙂 We’ve been to a number of aquariums, and do love them, but no need to spend time at one that is “not as grand as…” when we can do something else and love it.. Thanks again!

In reply to Michael Davisson. I am not sure you can get out of contacting the people on your own -- but yes, I do believe attorneys grossly overcharge for this.

A few years ago we went through a similar process to start
a living trust however we initially contacted an estate attorney
for an upfront fee of $850. He gave us the paperwork that we needed to fill out but I was overwhelmed with the process. I had to contact all of our account holders myself and it was a pain.
After I had done all of the transfers the attorney wanted another $700 to do the filing. Realizing that I had done all the work I decided to file on my own. That took some additional work but I’m glad that I did. Seems like attorneys overcharge for what amounts to really not much work on their part. I wish that I had thought of using a paralegal instead of an attorney.

Wow, this is timely. I just got back from visiting my parents. My dad has Parkinsons and my mom isn’t very mobile. It is time. We did a quick search but there wasn’t enough time and we’re trying to decide what kind of living situation they need and what we can afford. It’s overwhelming. Your article is amazing! A wealth of information! Thank you.

In reply to Megan Passey. Great question. My husband actually got a job last fall that offered insurance so we moved to that. They supplement it quite a bit, so it's pretty affordable (especially when you hit 50+ Zion increases a lot). BUT if we didn't have a traditional option, we would have 100% stayed with Zion. I think it's a great alternative option.
