She's going to be a flapper. We found it at Goodwill. :) I love how much you do though, I used to make more, but I just don't have it in me anymore!

So what is your daughter going to be this Halloween?

I love easy costumes for Halloween. I usually add them to my girls' dress-up trunks after they go trick-or-treating so they can enjoy them all year. Last year they went as a cat and mouse. Just leggings and a long sleeve shirt with stretch gloves and ears on a headband. I made the ears and everyone in the family had a pair (my husband had wolf ears and tail I had calico ears.)

This year I went more practical for our 8 year old. She is going as Coraline from the movie so I bought new rain boots and a new raincoat in sizes a tad bigger than she wears so she can use them down the road. But the wig is new so she can run around playing with that once Halloween has past. My 3 year old is dressing as a 'Queen Bee'. I got a thrifted black and yellow stripe dress and added the bee wings and a crown from her dress-up trunk. The black leotard is a hand-me-down from her sister's ladybug costume (from when she was 3) and the tights and shoes are new.

I'd rather go easy on the Halloween costumes and save my creative costume making for their Disney princess dresses. Plus I'd have to start sewing and fabric shopping after Christmas to have the big detailed costumes done for Halloween. I tried it when my oldest was younger and the youngest was still a dream. I was able to do more sewing then but now we homeschool and I can only have time to myself to sew on the weekends when my husband is home to take the girls (keep them in line so I can pull out the machines and hole myself in the spare room). Plus I have my hands full with their Elsa/Anna dresses for our Christmas Disney trip. I thought is was a good Idea to do all the crewel embroidery by hand!
