No, I’m not done packing… although today’s the laundry room, which makes you know things are getting to the end. We’re still waiting on our shelves for the garage and playroom (being installed next week). Unpacking has been dragging on. Part of me loves it, I really enjoy the fact that we now actually have a SPACE for EVERYTHING. Give it up for extra square footage!
Anyway. Here is what I am done with.
1. I am done eating like crap. I saw on the today show that the reason most people are overweight is becuase they eat out. I agree 100%, and this little transition has been a real eye opener. I mean, even if you eat til’ you’re full you’re just still eating SO many calories. Even worse then if I have a giant plate of nachos that I make at home. Sad, but true. You can find out more about this one on my workout blog, when I write it. 🙂
2. I am done treating money like it is water. We knew this was going to be expensive, we knew we would have a lot of extra costs not normally associated with the move… just new things we need. Like mops. We’ve also needed a few new furniture pieces for random nooks we have, and of course the selves. I’ve gotten a few extra kitchen things, trivets since we can’t put hot pans on the stove, things like that… but we are done. HELLO budget. Nice to meet you, I am now going to follow you. Perhaps I need to make a banner saying, “you are poor students” for all of us to follow (Drew is going to graduate school starting this fall). I am really glad that I worked like a lunatic before we left. It’s helped out a lot.
Anyway, you’ll notice that both of these things just involve a giant excess. Overspending and overeating. It’s something our entire country has a problem with.
Problem no more. It’s time to buckle down ladies. 🙂
