So, my problem there is that I want my kids to respect and do what the teacher has asked, and they have never backed off and said “ok” — so I’ve gone the route of respect of authority….

I have quite a few friends who have told their teachers right from the beginning of the school year that they didn’t believe in all that extra homework and to not expect them to be complete. 🤷‍♀️ I mean, I don’t know if they get graded for that but I feel like we want to teach our kids to love to learn.
