In reply to Bonny Kirby. That's in your opinion... and well u know what they say about opinions. I say she was on the money about comparison. Bosch blows kitchenaid away and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out and I say this in the most unbiased way as a kitchenaid commercial, Bosch and ankersum owner. Hmmmm I'm wondering at this point if u have tested your opinion of her by trying out a Bosch I'm willing to bet u haven't and so I should ask you if perhaps u are being the bias one. The Ankarsum Mixer the very Best! The price tag is $750. Its not too big and has lots power to knead even the toughest doughs, like whole wheat without any issues. Has lifetime warranty. If I could afford that much, I’d Love to buy it. Its Top of the line and Actually made in Europe I believe Switzerland or near there. I refuse to buy anything from China and is why I just canceled a Kitchenaid order. I experienced horrible customer service. Sorry to say this but they lied to me about it shipping 3 times. Been 3 weeks since I ordered. They took the money out of my account prematurely before they shipped when they’re website clearly says that they dont charge your credit card until it ships. So they printed a shipping label and charged my card right away. I was excited but was never was sent to Fed Ex to ship. After 3 weeks of no mixer or activity on shipping updates I felt ripped off and read on reviews that it someone months to receive theirs. I checked their website right before canceling and said they were out of inventory. I will never buy a KA now. I can’t imagine dealing with them if it needed repair. KA also said could be 1-2 billing cycles before my refund shows up. Can you believe it. Awful experience right at the holidays.

In reply to Laura Olsen. Yeah, it's not exactly smaller. There is the Bosch Compact that I hear they have in stock right here. However, I haven't used it or seen the size. Sorry. :(

Hi. I’m looking for a mixer that can handle a small batch of whole wheat dough (1 or 2 loaves). I have a very old Universal (70s or 80s) for large batches, but it’s not great for small batches. I just bought a KA Artisan 5qt (still in box) and I’m worried that it won’t stand up to whole wheat bread kneading. I considered the Nutrimill because I thought it was smaller than the Universal. Now that I know the bowl size us the same as the Universal I don’t know what to get. What are your thoughts?

In reply to Valerie Simpson. I DO think it is easier to add ingredients to (although not mid mixing). I think it does amazing job whipping stuff, much faster than my KA.

How is the Bosch for making macarons? Whipping the egg whites? Also, how is it for making buttercreams? I have two big KA’s and teo small ones but this looks like it would be easier to add ingredients than the KA. Thank you

In reply to Eilene. The bosch is stronger, for sure. So, it's hard to say. If you CAN store the Bosch, and you can afford it -- I'd pick that one for sure (my Nutrimill is in my basement by my old Kitchenaid).
