In reply to Tiffany. I think the key to this system is knowing they CAN do it. But, once they could I held firm to this (and then went behind them and actually cleaned it up). I had them was the pants in the toilet -- and had a bin there for it (trying to keep it as clean as possible). It was a mess, but it's a reminder to STAY DRY!

that’s a great idea for pee…..but what about poop? I have a 3 1/2 yr old son who has been peeing on the toilet(even says when he needs to pee) but hides to poop.

My little has not even shown the slightest points that he may be ready for that leap. But being special needs it is hard. I am trying to wrap my head around pottytraining a mostly non verbal child…
