Week five is the “rest” week — and if I didn’t KNOW I wasn’t — I would’ve suspected I was pregnant. Holy crap I was SO tired every day! I’d just collapse on the couch and nap for an hour… even on days I had NO workout. So weird!
As you can see, there is no actual weight change from last week to this week — still 8 pounds. I am not sure why I didn’t lose last week. Really trying not to dwell on it. 🙂
The workouts
1. I only did 4 workouts this week, and 2 of them were only 8 minute ab workouts.
2. I still REALLY have a hard time with alternating leg exercises like scissoring your legs. I wonder when that will get better?
3. Twice I ran, and honestly it’s getting better. I did over 2 miles, running about 3/4 of the time and I felt like I did pretty great. I only wanted to die the last few minutes of the final run. FYI, her running goes 3 minutes running, 1 minute rest, 6 minutes running, rinse and repeat. 🙂
4. I did the first of the major toning workouts today. It was 51 minutes of pure toning, including the final ab workout. Holy guacamole, I am SO tired. Especially after a rest week. My body wasn’t suspecting this. I hope it drops the weight. 🙂
5. I’m hoping I’m not crazy sore all week. It’s a LOT of toning, and I just need to power through it and get it done. I need to build muscle if I want to lose weight long term.
The Diet
1. Friday was really busy, and I was stuck at school and unable to get my regular food. I ended-up having doughnuts and pizza, but I stayed within my calories. I just didn’t feel so great afterwards. Turns out good food leads to a good life, who knew?
2. I had some serious cheat days last weekend. We had our valentines Fondue, and I do love me some cheese and chocolate. BUT, I find if I have a good cheat that I REALLY enjoy I’m ready to jump back on the wagon when it’s over. Last weekend, with my food poisoning I found that I ended-up having a lot of cravings mid-week because I didn’t get those out of the way on my cheat day.
3. I am forgetting my afternoon snack a lot. I need to figure out a way to remember to eat. True story.
Anyway, 3 weeks left. I’ve passed the mid-point. Lots of toning, I’m gonna pump {clap} you up!

It was a rest week with four workouts?! That doesn’t sound like rest, ha!
Congrats on passing the half-way mark! I love reading this check-up posts – a realistic look at just how much effort goes into working out and changing a diet is something not easily found!
Haha, I am even happy for weeks that only have 6 workouts. THe first couple of weeks you do a workout every day. Ran and did abs today. I may die. 🙂
Way to go! You are doing awesome! I wouldn’t worry about not losing much last week. I tend to lose then stall, then lose then stall again. Your body is probably trying to adjust to the changes….your being tired is probably a result of that too. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming…
Yeah, I know I’m already up this week because I am SO sore. It’s a process, it’s not like I have a dealine (other than my own impatience!).
