I have had this with all of my pregnancies!!! I never knew what it was! I’ve asked several PT’s and nobody told me about this! I have been in so much pain for so long in this third trimester and I’m only in week 21. My husband just listens to me whine and doesn’t know how to help and my doctors just tell me it’s normal. This is not normal when I cry lifting my legs putting pants on! Thank you so much for writing this and giving me some tips and things to try. It has been a God send! Im not crazy!

I have this and it started at 8 weeks pregnant. By 14 weeks I had a very hard time getting around and I felt like my Dr and her nurses were brushing it off but referred me to physical therapy. It got better for a bit but by 27 weeks I was in so much pain that I couldn’t walk. Trying to get around the house and care for myself was almost impossible. We’ve gotten the pain under control again and my therapist has given me tips to hopefully avoid major issues in labor and after. But we can only pray.

Huh, it may have just been your 1st baby's positioning. Usually, it does get worse. :) It's the WORST!

I had pelvic girdle pain and a lot of hip pain really early on in my 1st pregnancy. It was excruciating by the end of my pregnancy. I could only walk at a crawling pace.
For my second pregnancy I started feeling it come on again, but it didn't get as bad because I was doing a lot more pregnancy exercises the 2nd time. And I found that if it was getting quite painful a little massage along the line of the split would help ease it. And my 2nd baby was more than 2. 1/2 pounds larger than my 1st!

I had this in my first pregnancy and any time I mentioned it no one seemed to know what I was talking about. I thought doctors and nurses must know what it was. I was always deflated when it was brushed off. I just wanted someone to help me. I miraculously did not have it in my second pregnancy. I have no idea how that happened because I’ve heard it gets worse with each pregnancy.
