Do you have any tips on how to make things last longer in the deep freezer besides vacuum seal?? Over the past couple months I’ve been religiously buying/slicing/freezing/sealing bananas. I put PB w/marshmallow cream on some… chocolate & nuts on others…left some plain for smoothies and snacking. I was proud of myself for seeing the “process” through almost daily , and for so long. ANYWHO, my 3 yr old daughter got “mad” and she doesn’t throw tantrums like most 3 yr olds nope ..she keeps it together then does something devious, like ruin my makeup, “lose” my phone (for DAYS), takes ALL of her clothes (and there’s a A LOT… she’s the 1st girl after 4 boys) off the hangers & out of her drawers, hide open food in random places (that I don’t know about until fruit flies appear). You get the picture I’m sure..so anyways the other day when she got mad she intentionally turned the fridge AND freezer as well as the deep freezer to ZERO (it goes to 5 and we keep it at 4). Point of the story is that ALL of my banana concoctions (as well as everything else) went bad and was spoiled 🙁 Don’t piss off a 3 yr old lol!

I save money by shopping grocery products online. I also use coupons and deals to reduce my net amount bill and hence I save money without making a menu.

This is great! Every once in a while we try to avoid the grocery store for as long as possible and eat through our stocked food. I am always amazed at what my husband has thrown in the freezer and how he turns it into a delicious meal!

Haha! Sometimes I wonder what is really in our freezer. I mean, I know there are berries, and frozen vegetables and cooked beans, and some bread…..but how is the freezer SO FULL? I laugh at myself stressing out about where to put all of our groceries, knowing full well that someone else is stressing about food insecurity.

I like the idea of embarking on a freezer-emptying adventure!
