There is a great post on Everyday Food Storage about grinding wheat.
Some additional notes from me:
I have a Nutrimill and I bought it a Pleasant Hill Grains. I called them and they were amazingly helpful. I ended-up with the nutrimill because it has a liftetime warranty. This blentec one looks great though, as small as it folds-up.
It’s been about a year since I bought mine. I love it. I exclusively make my bread now. I am at a point in my life where that works. In some ways it does save money, but that doesn’t include the fact that I spent like 500 bucks between the grinder and the mixer.
I do think it’s healthier though. I use at least 1/2 and 1/2 whole wheat/all purpose in my recipes now.
I am still on a hunt for the perfect bread recipes but so far I’ve found some pretty great ones.
Anyway, good info on her site in case you’re interested. 🙂
