(including my recovery time) I could never have stayed down if I’d been at home. And I continued to leak for the whole time.!

Oh. My. Goodness. I thought my “shelf” was going to fall. But the habit of going to church, and my kids & grandkids seeing my example (at ages 38,37,33, and30) kept me going. Tradition and ritual saved me, although I did take a week off.

PS in your newsletter about popular pregnancy posts, I just had to share 2 things. I had a miracle baby in 1981 with my third daughter. My water broke at 23.5 weeks and I was in the hospital for 3+ months til she was born. “Luckily” for me, I don’t have contractions when my water breaks – had all C-sections because of that. The medical staff told me all the dire things that would happen; sent the death and dying and mortuary affairs to me (we were military); but I just laid in bed until about 36-37 weeks. She was born because of placental abruption, as an emergency at 0200!
The correct number of children for you is; ONE LESS THAN YOU CURRENTLY HAVE! And family planning is an oxymoron. I learned these 2 important facts in Relief Society when my children were still quite young. They are so true.
We ended up with four – 3 girls in 4 years, and a boy almost 5 years later (after the PROM miracle baby).
