So, here’s what’s not working for me:
Prior to the winter, I used to get up at 5:30 and run. But, now 5:30 is scary dark, and even 6:30 is pretty dark. I’m just not into working out if I can’t get it done and out of the way.
I also feel like my middle child needs more attention. I think he gets lost in the shuffle that is my life too frequently.
Enter, me going to school with him at least once a week. We ran there today this AM. I wore his backpack, and he thought I was too slow, but we had a nice talk about stuff… and I got some exercise.
I think one of the beauties of being a mother is that you are your own boss, and can truly find solutions to fix your problems that you can implement. My problem was not going running and an ornery 9 year old, and this is my solution.
Anyway, sometimes parenting is good like that. Sometimes you wish you had a boardroom to find solutions with.
But I’m just wondering how other moms fit in exercise? We have a really weird staggered start morning, and I really can’t run with the stroller. BUT, I also took a month off exercising, and while I enjoyed that time and I really needed a little break from it to remember why I need it, I’m just at a loss to fit it in.
