Last night Drew’s cousin came over, and although he’s not my family, I felt myself having those cravings for family.
Everyone we know here has known us five years or less (ok, almost everyone — there’s a couple exceptions). We are starting to have a “past” but it’s rare. When we’re around family, it’s so nice to sit down and chat about old times — for them to know our history and stuff.
Just makes me wish we had those experiences more often.
Anyone else feel this way?

Somtimes I feel magnetically drawn to Utah. But I kick and scream to resist the pull. I do want to be closer. Maybe Colorado. Too bad we never seem to really have the say we want.

TOTALLY know what you mean. Even though I have been hear now for 15 years and I have a history here now it does not compare to the childhood memories you share with others. Matt runs into people from highshcool and he has family around so they bring up old memories all the time and even though it is cool to hear – I want to hear that about myself too! I actually reconnected with an old friend this week from HS so I got a good dose of that and it was fun!
