School here starts on Monday — and I, for one, could NOT be happier. 🙂
Our great district here has BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS. That’s right, we met our teacher, we talked to them, all before school actually started!
Conner is taking band and theater for his “extra’s”… he’s pretty excited. His teachers seem really nice. HE has one teacher that does math and science, and the other one does language arts and social studies. The kid from across the street is in his class, he is in a “prep” program that is for “more advanced” kids. He had to test into it. I think it should go alright, and he’s excited to be in that type of environment.
Spencer met his teacher tonight. It was actually a lot harder then I had imagined while I was there. I felt traitorous, I felt sad that I knew NO. ONE. I felt sad that I Was going to have to jump into the school game feet first and take my own advice from last year. It was actually my hardest “moment” since my first Sunday church, and it took me totally be surprise.
But, it’s good advice, and I need to be involved. It’s good for the kidlets. It would also be nice if God could cool this valley off…. 😀
